Product Description

Gives The Deep, Rich "Hand-Rubbed Look Without The Hassle

Easy-to-use Tru-Oil brings out the warm, natural beauty of a wood stock and gives it the look of a deep, rich, hand-rubbed finish without the hassle. It requires an average of only three coats and dries so fast - 90 to 120 minutes per coat - that a stock can be finished in one day! Tru-Oil is a purified triple-processed blend of all-natural oils that penetrates into the grain to seal out moisture. Won’t yellow or cloud the grain, and the surface becomes harder and tougher. Apply multiple coats to produce a high-gloss finish, or for a more subdued satin finish, cut back the gloss with fine steel wool or rubbing compound, then apply Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner (sold separately). Tru-Oil is perfect for refinishing existing stocks; for an unfinished stock, first apply Birchwood Casey Clear Sealer & Filler. Minor scuffs and marks on a stock finished with Tru-Oil are easily fixed: just rub the spot gently with a pad moistened with Tru-Oil.

Aerosol Tru-Oil cannot be shipped to California.

Product Description

Available Again, The Famous "Real" Kettle-Boiled Linseed Oil

Pure linseed oil, specially refined to dry in just 2 to 3 hours to a tough, hard, easy-to-touch-up finish. So simple to use, you can even leave sanding dust to help fill pores. Apply stain (if desired) and follow with finger-dunks of Lin-Speed. Smooth out with the heel of your hand and set aside to dry. First coat will "freeze" sanding whiskers for easy removal, ending time consuming steaming and de-whiskering. Stop working so hard at your stock finishing! Sand it well, then APPLY Lin-Speed and LET DRY!

Starter Kit: Get started right away with the Lin-Speed Gunstock and Fine Woodwork Starter Kit. The kit contains the familiar 2 ounce jar of “GB” Lin-Speed, 3 pads of triple zero steel wool, a pair of food service gloves, simple to follow illustrated instructions.

Pro Finishing Kit: Kit includes a two ounce jar of Lin-Speed Oil, eight 3"x4" Micro Mesh abrasive sheets from 1500 grit to 12,000 grit, a cushioned sanding block, quality conventional sand paper sheets in 180, 220, and 320 grit, two 3/0 steel wool pads, a pair of food service gloves, and a 28 page booklet by Lin-Speed developer George Van Vleck Brothers.

Half Pint: This favorite oil finish is now offered in larger containers. These larger containers are great for large projects like furniture, bar tops, guitars, and just about any fine woodworking project. Expect coverage about 2 to 3 times that of varnish or polyurethane but unlike varnish or polyurethane Lin-Speed Oil is a no build finish that does not peel, flake, or chip and touch up is a breeze.
